Agrofresh

About Agrofresh

About Agrofresh.

Export promotion is usually done by an agency with a public budget. Agrofresh does it as a business: it is paid by exporters, for making them provable, and by nobody else. No commission on sales, no cut of contracts, and no ministry setting its priorities.

When a member's compliance is failing, the only party with an interest in the outcome is the member.

The business model

How we are paid.

A flat membership fee

The fee is the same whether a container is worth $20,000 or $200,000. It does not vary with the value of what you ship.

Nothing on the trade

No commission, no brokerage, no success fee and no spread. Agrofresh never takes title to crop.

No other payers

Not buyers, not banks, not a ministry. Buyers cannot pay for position in the directory.

What Agrofresh does not do.

Buy your crop.

Broker your deal, or take a commission on it.

Own your farmers, your buyers, or your records. Those stay yours.

Promise you a buyer. We can make you findable and credible. We cannot make someone purchase.

Who we are

Names, and faces.

The founders

PLAN.md §6.5 requires the founders to be named on this page. An exporter deciding whether to hand over their farmer list should be able to see who is asking. Names, roles and a line of background each.

Whether to name the underlying platform

The console is a white-label instance. PLAN.md §10.3 leaves it open: naming the platform borrows credibility from a wider network, not naming it makes the software look wholly yours. Both are defensible, but the page cannot be written until one is chosen — and the same decision affects /what-you-get.

Paid by exporters, and by nobody else.

A flat membership fee, no commission, and no title taken to crop. Those terms are the same for every member.
